Service Description

Interested in machine knitting? This beginner's course allows you to get acquainted with a standard gauge knitting machine and learn basic principles and techniques. You will also take home a beautiful scarf or hat to wear that you knit yourself. This class is perfect for beginners and those who would like to brush up on their machine knitting skills. It is held in our own sewing and knitting studio in Downtown Littleton and lasts approx 3 hours. Each participant gets their own designated machine to use! Space is limited to 3 people per class with no previous experience necessary! In this course you will learn: - Casting on and off - Knitting stockinette stitch - Basic transferring techniques - Color changing and stripes - Introduction to punch card capabilities including tuck, slip, and fairisle - Troubleshooting basics - Design, knit, and create your own hat to take home! ​All tools and yarn will be provided. If you have special requests or would like to provide your own yarn, please contact us prior to class and we would be happy to recommend what is appropriate to use. Bring a friend and learn something new together! * Deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to another session
